Classroom Assistant Instructions
Do
- Seek the Lord daily and live out our motto.
- Be on time.
- Reinforce primary doctrine, avoid secondary doctrine.
- Model rule keeping.
- Guard class time.
- Be familiar with the lead teacher’s backup class plan.
- Be alert to student behavior. (dress code, struggling with class material, other conduct)
- Be an active resource for the lead teacher. (see #9 on Lead teacher sheet)
- Redirect attention back to the teacher in all cases.
- Pray silently for the teacher and students through the class time.
Don’t
- Participate as a student, i.e. ask questions or join in class discussion.
- Distract the teacher or students with behavior or words. Be discreet.
