This list is for the HFHG-EC members who are currently teaching. It is also a tool that can be used to guide our prayers for them. Additionally, it is a resource for us as we get ready to serve in this capacity. In all likelihood, at one time or another, you will be asked to lead teach.
The hours that lead teachers spend preparing for class is significantly greater than the Monday hours contributed by those who do not teach. Remuneration is the same for the teaching and non-teaching member: Our children receive excellent learning opportunities. Lead teachers also purchase their own curriculum.
We all appreciate the time and expense that is invested in each class. Perhaps we can pay special attention to those who teach our own children. Could she use some help in any particular area? Perhaps a meal, or a play time for her children so she can spend some uninterrupted time in class preparation? Let's be creative!
